PHOTOS FROM THE LAUNCH OF MY NEW NOVEL ‘IBUKUN DONALD’.

On Sunday July 28th 2019, I invited close friends, media partners and Family to attend the launch of my debut novel IBUKUN DONALD.

As a YA Novelist I wanted to introduce the book first before I held a traditional book reading.

The rain tried it but the weather eased into the nice summer feel and it was a good time.

We had cocktails, deserts and made great memories.

Please see photos below.

SICK AND TIRED. (Remake)

My sisters say I have a gift for this writing stuff but I am left handed, so I guess I write the right messages with the wrong hand.

I am sick and tired of 4G network, like how can we be okay with having subpar service and carrying pocketable Wi-Fi around?

I’m sick of Lagos men complaining about Lekki women that have liposuction, like being attractive is cool but only after their American celebrities do it.

I’m tired of men bashing Lagos girls for twerking on Instagram, when they stan Meg Thee Stallion.

I’m sick of Lekki women using their status for Instagram posts and mirroring everything but Kim Kardashian and her prison reform moves.

I’m sick of people neglecting that MI ABAGA is the GOAT. I’m sick of people just happering about Burna Boy when he has always been on.

I’m sick of people that don’t realise that Big Brother is politics and still go to the auditions, waiting days in them long queues, You have to belong to a political party: the celebrities that elect you to enter the house.
I’m sick of our commercial banks being so update with deductions for card maintenance fees and Postal Stamp duty but bad at everything else that doesn’t mess up their systems or affect their bottomline.

I’m tired of EFCC being allowed to speak on Fraud when they represent everything wrong with the system.

I’m sick of Nollywood recycling the same ass actors in every movie.

I’m sick of social influencer’s that don’t understand the concept of belonging to different industries.

I’m sick of our president for the ministerial list, I want him to stop calling his second term a democracy. Then I need him to go read on what a democracy is.

I’m sick of Reno Omokri and his nuggets, I’m tired of him thinking its so cool. I want him to realise that he has a platform, hell, Jesus had a platform… have you read the bible? Do you read Reno’s Nuggets? Okay.

I’m sick of being invisible to the men I like except Married men.

I’m tired of the whole Sugar Daddy phenomenon,
I’m sick of Uber and Bolt for their irrelevant surges, like its raining, there’s traffic, so I have to suffer because I’m paying for the service to get from Point A TO POINT B. Like I am paying for your service, mother nature’s and unforeseen incidents?

Make it make sense.

I am tired of expatriates in Lagos riding around with police escorts just to stay safe, if you’re so scared why are you here?

I’m sick of everyone saying Tinubu owns Lagos, when we all know the vibes.

I’m sick of everyone finally just realising African beauty. Like they just made Africa yesterday. Like being black is finally cool and relevant.

I’m tired of high-end designers making racial triggering mistakes with black models. I’m tired of the misrepresentation of Africa. Wakanda does not represent the entity that is Africa, we are Africa, look at us.

I’m sick of Africans not realising that they’re equal, like we need validation or every attack is race inspired. I need us to stop our slavery mentality because if we don’t then slavery is really a choice after the fact. *Kanye Voice.*
